Essential oils are very concentrated solutions that have been extracted from plants and it’s our priority to give you a safe way of using them. You can rest assured that each of our products have been safety checked by a substances and mixtures specialist.
Each product has potential allergens listed, so you can make an informed decision about using individual products and all our blends comply with EU safety regulations. Following the steps outlined below will ensure that you safely enjoy the benefits that essential oils offer.
Classification, labelling and packaging (CLP)
Classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP) is the European legislation that requires all retailed substances and mixtures (including essential oil blends) to be safety checked and any have any hazards and/or potential allergens clearly listed on each product.
We only use high quality, pure essential oils and have gone to great lengths to be completely transparent when it comes to the natural chemicals contained within each of our signature blends.
This information is attached to each of our products that are required to be CLP compliant.

Keeping Pets Safe
At Love Crystals UK we love our pets. Our products are safe to use around pets in most circumstances but they should be kept well out of their reach, essential oil products need to be used with caution around pets. We advise you do not to use Room Sprays around pets. If any liquid containing essential oils comes into physical contact with your pet, rinse with cold water and seek the advice of your vet.
Keep essential oil products out of reach of pets, ensuring there’s no way they can get them. Do not let pets smell, sniff or lick any essential oil product. If you suspect any essential oil product could be affecting your pet, cease usage immediately and consult a vet
It’s worth noting that increasingly in recent years, misleading, or false, sensationalist stories have been circulated on social media in regards to essential oil usage and pets. Essential oil toxicity in animals is mainly caused through ingestion and/or direct and prolonged skin contact, in its pure, unadulterated form. The majority of our products are diluted with natural liquids and waxes, so are safe to use around pets, as long as you follow the directions and keep them away from direct contact.
Cats: Linalool, a naturally occurring chemical found in some essential oils, in particular Lavender is thought to be toxic to cats. All our products must be kept well out of their reach and the room must be well ventilated.
Dogs: There are several essential oils that are dangerous to use around dogs, including Tea Tree and Winter Green. We do not use any of these oils in our blends and all our products are safe for indirect use around dogs. All our products must be kept well out of their reach and the room must be well ventilated.
