More people than ever are discovering the amazing benefits of using crystals. Like anything else, a crystal practice that works for one person won’t necessarily work for the next. However, there are a number of ways to work with crystals every day. We’ve put this little guide together to help you!
Meditate with your crystals:
Start by holding your chosen crystal in one or both hands, close your eyes and focus on your breath. You may feel your body becoming more grounded, you may feel a lightness surround you or you may not feel anything right away. Sometimes you may not connect with a certain crystal and other times it’ll make the hairs on your skin stand up… Pick a crystal that you are drawn to, this is likely the crystal you need in that moment. Also, each crystal will feel different and meditating is something that you need to learn, so be patient and keep experimenting.
Carry a crystal with you:
The more contact you have with a crystal, the more aware you’ll be of its energy. We recommend carrying a crystal with you during your day, in your pocket or bag, and taking it out whenever you need it. Some people even pop a small crystal in their bra! However you carry your crystal is up to you, there is no right or wrong way.
Use crystals during your yoga practice:
Keeping crystals in your yoga space is a great way to create a tranquil atmosphere for you to practice. You can even place crystals on your body during Savasana to encourage a deeper state of meditation. Personally, I (Mrs Love Crystals) love to use crystals during my yoga practice and during Savasana I often place a piece of Amethyst on my Third Eye chakra!
Use crystals as part of your self care ritual or routine:
There are so many ways to incorporate crystals into your self care ritual, we even created a Self Care Collection to aid with this! Be it spritzing a crystal infused aromatherapy mist before bed or having a crystal bath whilst your crystal infused wax melts are burning. There are so many ways to include them and lots of books and blogs about it too!
In the home:
Decorating your home or workspace with crystals is another way to incorporate them in your day to day life. Crystals have long been associated with meditation and yoga, but more and more people are now wanting statement pieces for their home, to shift the energy of a certain space. We’ve sourced some amazing statement pieces for customers, however smaller clusters and bowls of tumbles on a coffee table, for example, can also bring about a sense of ease. As you can probably imagine, our home is full of crystals! From statement pieces in the lounge to tumbles on the dressing table, there isn’t a room without a crystal!
Create an altar:
This can be an entire room or a small space or table in your home containing symbolic items on it. A space that promotes gratitude and connection. Decorate your altar by adding items that evoke good feelings and memories. You could include things like; photos of your loved ones and people who inspire you, sculptures, plants or flowers, books, candles and incense, a journal etc.
You can then add crystals to your altar that will give it an amazing energy boost!
Whilst we can be spiritual or connected anywhere, it helps to create such a space. Think of this space as your sacred space and use it whenever you feel the need. I personally use mine to meditate and for yoga practice.
